The Best Mission Statement…Ever

This quote was on a plaque in the lobby at a job nearly 35 years ago, and it’s stuck with me ever since. It’s simple, but it defines the tone of a winning culture better than most mission statements ever could.

It means that every person in your company — no matter their role — is either helping the customer directly, or helping someone else who is. If they’re not doing either, they’re slowing the machine down.

This mindset builds accountability, pride in purpose, and a clear chain of service that drives results. Culture isn’t a vibe. It’s the sum of what’s expected, accepted, and repeated daily.
