How to Eliminate Crew Turnover

Your Weekly BeastBit:

Few things hurt field performance more than a revolving door of crews. Steady labor, familiar faces, and jobsite familiarity build both performance and builder confidence.

So how do you keep your best crews loyal?

My 5 Essential Rules for Crew Retention:

1️⃣ Keep them busy! Don’t add new crews until your current ones are fully loaded — or their work quality slips from overload.
2️⃣ Inspect work before paying. Protect everyone’s livelihood by keeping the builder happy.
3️⃣ Skip partial payments. Pay 100% when the job is 100% complete.
4️⃣ Most installers dislike warranty work, so maintain dedicated warranty crews if possible.
5️⃣ Most importantly: NEVER mess with crews' paychecks.
* Pay on time, every week.
* Pay 100% of what’s owed.
* Make sure the check clears.

A steady roster of trained installers is the surest way to build your builder’s confidence — and your reputation.

And BONUS: word of mouth is real...good crews will come knockin'!
