Why Scopes of Work are Essential

A builder will always get from its subcontractors whichever of the following is greater: the GC/builder’s published Scope of Work or the actual building code itself (i.e. bare minimum).
So, absent an up-to-date and robust scope of work, subs typically will merely pass inspection, which usually falls short of builder expectations.
Are you keeping your Scope of Work up to date and reflective of your company’s field expectations, best practices and building code updates? And most importantly, do your field managers know what is expected of each sub per contract?
